Where a company's IT structure requires more time to be spent on its support, then, instead of employing another member of staff, our Facilities Management Assistance program is an economical and effective solution to the problem.

This program provides the services of the staff of PCM Logistics Ltd who will act either

-  as a member of your staff under your direction to carry out any duties your management require, or

-  as a more senior member of your staff to assist in the planning, implementation, control and maintenance of your system.

In the first case this will enable you to to apply more labour input to your system short of going to the extent of employing a further member of staff.   Normally solving a staff shortage might mean having to choose between taking on a junior requiring considerable training before becoming effective, or waiting till a desperate situation requires a qualified and experienced person who you can ill afford.

In the second case, our engineer can take a full part in the running of the IT Department.   This service will suit the smaller company that has a considerable need for IT personnel but is not large enough to employ the necessary skilled staff.   He will attend or initiate the necessary regular meetings to review problems that arise in the normal day to day running of the IT Department, and will advise on implementation of changes in methods or systems.

Appropriate reports on actions to be recommended will be presented to the client's management, with full costings.   Alternative strategies will be provided where these are requested.

The benefits of Facilities Management Assistance naturally flow from the savings generated from having, in effect, the services of a full-time member of staff without the considerable oncosts - employment tax, pension, holidays, travel expenses, (possibly including a vehicle) and the inevitable absences for personal and family commitments.

How much time PCM Logistics staff will spend with the client on his premises will depend on the volume of work required.   Normally this will not necessitate physical attendance more than once or twice a week, and therefore the fees will be calculated on a pro rate basis based on the market cost of equivalent staff.
